Obtaining FHI-aims:

The FHI-aims code and user manual are available and can be obtained in one of the following ways:

For members of a group that already holds an FHI-aims license:

Please register for access at the "aimsclub" web site. In order to register, you will need the user ID (and approval) of the main license holder, most likely your group leader or department head. Both support and code updates are made available through the "aimsclub", and we invite you to become part of an active community there.

For external groups that do not have an FHI-aims license yet:

Thank you for your interest in FHI-aims. We will be happy to provide you with the code and user manual, and we look forward to having you as a part of our active FHI-aims community.

The FHI-aims code is copyrighted material, and subject to a license agreement, which we ask you to respect. To obtain FHI-aims, you need to purchase a license from Molecular Simulations from First Principle e.V. (MS1P e.V.). We offer these types of licenses:

Upon purchase, we will provide you with the required information to access the "aimsclub" web site, which is our access point for current releases of the FHI-aims code, the user manual, and the community forums.

The license agreement (which you should sign and forward to FHI as described here) can be downloaded by one of the following links: Fill in the License Agreement, sign it and return it (by mail, fax, or email as a scanned, signed pdf) to:
